Team Raleigh's Alex Blain put on a top display for the crowds gathered in Raleigh’s home city for the return on the Milk Race on Sunday (26th May), taking 2nd place ahead of Olympic champion, Ed Clancy.


Alex escaped early with Rapha Condor JLT rider Felix English and from then on, the pair’s battle at the front became the story of the race, with the two riders catching up and lapping members of the chasing group – the leaders’ team mates marshalling well to put the brakes on any attack...

Movistar's Giovanni Visconti takes his second stage win in the Giro

Giovanni Visconti (Movistar) soloed to victory in Vicenza to earn his second stage win of the 2013 Giro d'Italia. The 30-year-old Italian jumped away from the peloton on the day's only climb, the category 4 Crosara with 16km to go, rode through the remnants of the day's early break, and held off the pursuit of a diminished peloton in the stage finale.

Ramunas Navardauskas (Garmin-Sharp) took the sprint for second in the maglia rosa group, which crossed the line 19 seconds after Visconti.

Movistar's Benat Intxausti wins Stage 16 of the Giro

Benat Intxausti (Movistar Team) claimed stage 16 of the Giro d’Italia from Valloire to Ivrea, beating Tanel Kangert (Astana) and Przemyslaw Niemiec (Lampre-Merida) in a sprint finish.

The trio broke clear of the maglia rosa group inside the final 2 kilometres of the stage with Intxausti winning Movistar’s third stage of the race.

Team Raleigh take their 2nd victory in the Tour Series at Durham

Team Raleigh continued their perfect start in the 2013 Pearl Izumi Tour Series by taking victory in round two in Durham.

They follow in the footsteps of Rapha-Condor-Sharp and Endura Racing, who won the first two rounds in the 2011 and 2012 series' respectively. Both went on to take the overall title.

Individual glory on the night went to Kristian House (Rapha-Condor-JLT) for the second year in succession, and just like last year, he delivered a brilliant solo performance.

Strength in numbers was the key as Raleigh took the honours in the opening round of the 2013 Pearl Izumi Tour Series in Kirkcaldy tonight.

Lachlan Norris took 3rd at the Lincoln Grand Prix on Sunday and showed why he’s considered one of Team Raleigh’s top climbers, doing some of his best work on the race’s notorious 1/6 city centre climb.
