Congratulations to Galius Sun supported athlete Cat Morrison on her 3rd place in the extremely tough Ironman Lake Tahoe.

The altitude of Lake Tahoe was a new addition to the Ironman circuit and would add another factor to what is already a challenging enough day over the Ironman distances.

Both men's and women's Pro races would prove to be very hard fought, with Chris McDonald adding to his recent win at Ironman Louisville with another here to push Germany's Maik Twelsiek into second.

The women's race would prove even closer with Asa Lundstrom (SWE) and Embrunman winner Jeanne Collange (FRA) locked together for much of the day, battling for first place which only in the final stages was Lundstrom (winner atIronman Kalmar last year), able to secure the win. Cat Morrison took third place, just a few minutes later. Having had so long out with injury, this was her first full Ironman for several years after a 2013 season which has seen some great performances over the 70.3 distance. With the event also been a qualifying event for Kona 2014, those points will be very valuable for an athlete who I believe has a lot more potential on the big island to show than injury and illness have impacted in prior years.
