Team Raleigh's Alex Blain put on a top display for the crowds gathered in Raleigh’s home city for the return on the Milk Race on Sunday (26th May), taking 2nd place ahead of Olympic champion, Ed Clancy.

Alex escaped early with Rapha Condor JLT rider Felix English and from then on, the pair’s battle at the front became the story of the race, with the two riders catching up and lapping members of the chasing group – the leaders’ team mates marshalling well to put the brakes on any attacks.

Young Team Raleigh rider Tom Moses took 4th place with Graham Briggs in 9th and Sam Witmitz, 10th.
